This would consist of using known personality traits to infer a solid amount of headcanon (below the halfway point) to create a shadow. It isn't necessarily using only fears - feelings of sadness, bitterness, resentment and other negative aspects of a character can also be used to build up a shadow!
C) Not making use of facing a shadow at all. This would mean the character does not go into the TV world extensively before acquiring a Persona (should you choose to give them one), and they would have to receive it by a means outside of dealing with their inner feelings.
