So you've decided to bring in a character who can access the Velvet Room. These characters are fairly uncommon and are called "Wild Cards" due to their affinity to wield several Personas of every Major Arcana.

The Persona users of the first two Persona games can be considered partial Wild Cards and are also able to access the Velvet Room. They are only "partial" Wild Cards because they have different positive and negative affinities for Personas of different Arcanas, however in every other way they are nearly identical to the Wild Card Persona users of Personas 3 and 4.

For the first time, in the evening between the day change from Day 14 and Day 15 (March 5th, 2012 OOCly), all Wild Card characters (including characters from Persona 1 and Persona 2) will be able to access the Velvet Room through their dreams.

That exchange will commence as follows:

The Dream:

> You find yourself in an odd limousine with blue velvet seating, carpet, and draperies. And you are not alone...

Bizarre-looking man: Welcome to the Velvet Room.

Bizarre-looking man: Ah... It seems we have a guest with an intriguing destiny... *chuckle*

Bizarre-looking man: My name is Igor... I am delighted to make your acquaintance.

Igor: This place exists between dream and reality, mind and matter...

Igor: It is a room that only those who are bound by a "contract" may enter...

Igor: It may be that such a fate awaits you in the near future.

Igor: Now then... Why don't you introduce yourself...?

> You tell Igor your name.

Igor: Hm... I see. You are one of many who will be entering into a contract with us, I see.

Igor: Now, let's take a look into your future, shall we?

Igor: Do you believe in fortune telling?

Igor: *he gestures to his tarot cards, which he spreads across the table...* Each reading is done with the same cards, yet the result is always different...

Igor: *chuckle* Life itself follows the same principles, doesn't it?

Igor: Hm... The Hanged Man in the upright position represents "sacrifice" and "loss". You have had to give up much recently, it seems.

Igor: The card indicating the near future beyond that is...

Igor: The Tower, in the upright position.

Igor: This card represents "sudden change" and "catastrophe"... Very interesting indeed.

Igor: It seems you have endured much, and will endure even more in due time.

Igor: Next we have The Moon, also upright. This card represents "hesitation" and "mystery"... Very interesting indeed.

Igor: Finally... I see.

Igor: The World in the reversed position.

Igor: The future is indeed shrouded in fog, but you will have to pierce through it if you intend to prevent great catastrophe.

Igor: In the coming days, you will enter into a contract of some sort, after which you will return here.

Igor: The coming time is a turning point in your destiny, and the destiny of many others like you...

Igor: If this new mystery goes unsolved, your future and your world may be forever lost.

Igor: My duty is to provide assistance to our guests to ensure that does not happen.

Igor: Ah! I have neglected to introduce my assistant to you.

Igor: This is Margaret. She is a resident of this place, like myself.

Margaret: My name is Margaret. I am here to accompany you through your journey.

Igor: We shall attend to the details another time.

Igor: Until then, farewell...

After this exchange, the very next day (or a little later, if it takes your character that long to visit the shopping district), your character will notice a blue door near the bookstore in the shopping district. He or she will step through and the following exchange will occur:

The Return:

> You see a curious, shining blue door on the streets of Inaba's shopping district near the book store.

> The other people around you don't seem to notice it at all.

> You open the door and step through.

Igor: Ah... welcome back. I see you've found your way here again with no trouble at all.

Igor: *he hands you the Velvet Key* From now on, please use this to enter the Velvet Room whenever you'd like.

Igor: I think you'll find that as your power grows, and your social links progress, you'll find this place quite useful.

Igor: But I am getting ahead of myself...

Igor: Are you aware of Personas? They are manifestations of one's personality used to overcome challenges and obstacles in one's life.

Igor: Here in this room, you will find that the possibilities when it comes to fusing Personas are nearly endless!

Igor: More powerful Personas can be fused as you become more experienced and... yes, even as you become more popular among your friends and peers.

Igor: These are called your Social Links. They are precious!

Igor: You may have felt them stirring within you already, the power of the various Major Arcana of your friends...

Igor: Take care of them, strengthen those bonds, for they will be your greatest strength.

Igor: The contract you signed last time is still in effect and shall be for quite some time, as well.

Igor: Do not forget this...

Igor: Only you are responsible for the path you choose, but it is not only your fate but the fate of your friends as well that hands in the balance, here.

Igor: Ah, but I have said too much.

Igor: Please, do come again once your power has truly awakened. I have no doubt you will visit us again very soon...

Igor: But until then, farewell...

Basically, Igor will explain the concept of Personas (which your character, if they are from Persona 1 or Persona 2, may already be aware of). He will also explain social links, and further answer any questions your character may have at the time while still being incredibly vague and not helpful over-all. Just perfect, right?

This process will be repeated every app cycle. A day or two after arriving in Inaba, your Wild Card character will have the above Dream, and he/she will encounter the Velvet Room door in the shopping district shortly thereafter.

The Velvet Room door is always there! It will never disappear from this moment forth. Characters with the Wild Card ability are free to come and go as they please, alone or in groups. There will also be a door within the TV World near the Junes entrance.

A current list of Wild Card characters can be found here. All Wild Cards will have to sign up in order to be included on that list, including characters from the first two Persona games.

Please, have fun in the Velvet Room. And do be sure to come again soon...
