> NPC APPLICATION
Thank you for your interest in Per Caligo Video!
Here, you'll find the application forms for NPC characters. For more information on Caligo's NPCs, please visit the NPC SUMMARY page.
Guidelines for NPC applications!
• NPC characters have a stricter Activity Check format than that of other character types. Please be sure to review the Rules and FAQ for more information -- NPCs are not exempt from activity requirements!
• Hiatused, dropped, or unapped NPCs will be played by the mods if the situation calls for it. Please be aware, while we will not have access to your account, we do have accounts for these situations. We will only do so if it is necessary for moving plots, overarching or otherwise. There is absolutely no intent on stepping on current or potential players toes with this.
• You do not have to have an existing character to app an NPC.
• If you are apping an NPC at any point in the month, you will only be permitted to app one fandom/original character in the following application cycle.
• NPC applications are always open. We will not hold reserves! However the process is not first-come, first-served either and will be judged strictly on the understanding of the character as well as voice strength.
• Please be sure to also read the STANDARD APPLICATION PAGE for all guidelines.

AGE:
PERSONALITY: A two-to-three paragraph minimum explanation of your character's personality. What are their strengths and weaknesses? Positive and negative traits and habits? How do events in their canon help shape their growth and personality? This includes but is not limited to specific events and character relationships. Please note, however, that it should not read as a history section - examples should complement the section, not overpower it.
WHERE THEY ARE NOW? What they’ve been up to since the end of the game and how it’s affected them. This section should be at least a decent-sized paragrah for P4 characters, and at least two for P3 characters.

(For NPC apps, both of these must be set in the Persona 4 world.)FIRST PERSON ACTION, JOURNAL, OR PHONE SAMPLE: Caligo does not have one single network unlike many other games. It has phone calls, texts, a school and town bulletin board, and private journal entries (like we all know Yosuke used to write in middle school.) You're free to use whichever you see fit.
THIRD PERSON SAMPLE: Introspection is what we’re looking for. We want to know that you know the thought process of your character! 300 words or more is recommended, but not required.
Re: Chie Satonaka | SMT: Persona 4
Age: 17
PERSONALITY: With Chie Satonaka, what you see is largely what you get. She's open and outgoing, with very little in the way of artifice. She's always eager to meet new people and make new friends; when Souji moves to Inaba, she's the first classmate to approach him and introduce herself. She may not be the most popular girl in the school, but she doesn't need or want to be. She's got a lot of friends and acquaintances, she's pretty up on the latest rumors, and that's enough for her. And the people she calls friends are friends for life -- you'll never meet a more loyal girl. Chie is all about helping people, from interrupting a teacher's vitrolic rant, to facing down a gang of avaricious bullies, to fighting a towering monster for the fate of all mankind. Justice is vitally important to her, so she'll be the first to speak up against any unfairness she sees in the world. This is especially true when the people important to her are in danger. When Yukiko's life is threatened, Chie becomes single-minded in her need to rescue her best friend. In pursuit of that justice, Chie has been teaching herself a kick-based martial arts from a very young age. (Though that decision also owes a lot to her being such a kung-fu movie fangirl.) Behind Chie's cheery exterior is an interior that's mostly the same... but there are still some self-confidence issues lurking around back there. She has a much easier time seeing other people's good points than her own, and that can lead to her doubting herself and what she's able to bring to any situation. She also has a bit of a quick temper; press on one of her issues and you can get her from zero to shouting in a minute or two. Still, she bounces back quickly, and she won't hold a grudge -- if you apologize. While Chie isn't stupid by any means, her brain works more intuitively than intellectually. She has some difficulty in school, often getting overwhelmed by the sheer amount of information she's expected to retain. But her motto (even if it is just stolen from Bruce Lee) definitely suits her. Her intuition has led her to surprisingly accurate deductions over the course of the investigation, and her battle instinct is second to none. She's really at her best when she isn't second-guessing herself and letting her brain get in her way. The only disadvantage is that trusting her instinct too much can make her stubborn and unwilling to change her mind once she's made an impulsive decision.
WHERE THEY ARE NOW?
Since the climactic battle with Adachi, Chie has remained in Inaba, continuing her training and her schooling. She's been putting extra effort into her schoolwork, working toward her desire to become a police officer once she graduates, and those efforts are starting to pay off. She still often hangs out with all the members of the Investigation Team -- aside from Souji, of course, but she keeps in touch with him via cell.

[The following is a voice mail received by Yukiko Amagi's cell phone.]
"Hey! How you holding up? Hope you guys aren't too swamped with all the new people and stuff. Man, this is so weird, isn't it? All the crazy people showing up on the trains. And that fog! Totally creepy. It's... Y'know, it's almost like everything is starting over again. ... Hahaha, no way! How could that happen, right? We beat that eyeball guy and sent him packing! ... Although he did say he might be back someday... Oh, whatever! If he shows up again we'll just beat him down like we did before! Anyway, I gotta get some of this homework done. Let me know when you're free and we can have a study session, okay? Later!" [Click.]
THIRD PERSON SAMPLE:
"Alright, see you at the usual place tomorrow. Later!"
Chie flipped her cell phone shut and collapsed backward onto her bed, letting out a long, slow sigh as she stared up at the ceiling. It was a few minutes past 12 am, and she'd just gotten done talking to Kanji about the shadowy, indistinct figure they'd seen on the Midnight Channel.
It really was all starting over again.
What did it mean? Namatame knew the TV world wasn't a safe place any more. Adachi was in jail, and Ameno-sagiri defeated and driven back. Neither one of them would be throwing anyone in the TV any time soon. So why was the Midnight Channel playing again? Was it a warning? Did someone else have the power to throw people in? And why was it happening now?
Chie groaned and rolled over onto her stomach, burying her face in her pillow. She was completely worthless at this stuff. The rest of the team was much better at analyzing these confusing situations. Naoto especially, given her detective training. And Souji... If only Souji were still in Inaba. He'd be able to figure everything out, no doubt. He'd led them through the entire battle from start to finish, gotten them safely out of 2011 without the world ending in a mass of fog. Without him... what would they do?
After a few moments, she realized how obvious the answer was. What would they do? The same thing they'd always done. They'd investigate, try to find out who was next, try to keep them safe... And if they couldn't, they'd go in and rescue them. The team had sworn not to let anyone die, and just because their leader was gone didn't mean they could forget that vow.
Chie punched her palm, nodding to herself with cool determination. Tomorrow after school, then, the Investigation Team would begin anew. With or without Souji's help, they wouldn't let anyone else get hurt. She wouldn't let anyone else get hurt. There was no way Chie Satonaka was gonna settle for anything less.
